Queensland’s Fake News are back with another slab of punk goodness in the shape of their new EP, Take Me Away, out now!
With its infectious energy, anthemic sound in the vibe of Bouncing Souls, Strungout, The Ataris and Millencolin, Nothing Town is classic pop/punk. The track has a heavier edge to it with more mature songwriting showcasing the bands growth over the last two years.
They ain’t just punk kids anymore!
The Everblack Podcast caught up with Darren and Nick from FAKE NEWS to talk about their new EP ‘Take Me Away’, opening for Everclear, upcoming shows and more!

Formed 2017 Fake News quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the punk scene releasing their debut EP & sharing the stage with many punk legends including
Good Riddance, No Fun At All, Death By Stereo, Bodyjar, 28 Days & Guttermouth all in their first year as a band!
In 2021 the guys make a big stir with their anthemic, melodic and outrageously fun, full length album, Everyday Warrior, which featured the lockdown song of the year, Checking In and got rave reviews everywhere!
