Danish death metal band NECKBREAKKER are set to unleash their debut album, Within The Viscera, on 6th December via Nuclear Blast Records.
The fast rising five piece have built a reputation of delivering blistering live shows, having toured alongside the likes of CRYPTA, LEFT TO DIE and BAEST as well as playing at festivals such as Hellfest, Bloodstock, Summer Breeze, Resurrection Fest, Inferno Festival and more.
The Everblack Podcast spoke to Joakim Kaspersen from NECKBREAKKER about their debut album Within The Viscera, working with Andreas Linnemann and Josh Middleton on the production, signing to Nuclear Blast Records, playing massive festivals like Hellfest, Bloodstock and Summer Breeze, future plans and more!

The young death metal band has already found themselves touring alongside the likes of Crypta, BAEST, and Left To Die, as well as securing spots at festivals such as Hellfest, Resurrection Fest, Bloodstock Open Air, Summer Breeze, Copenhell, Mystic Festival, Dynamo Metal Fest, Roskilde, Sweden Rock Festival, Tuska Festival, and Inferno Festival, as they rip and tear their way across the continent.
On the release of their debut album and their signing to Nuclear Blast, the band comments:
“As we were creating Within The Viscera, it’s fair to say we felt a certain amount of pressure. A pressure to deliver an album that could live up to the hype this band has been building since we started playing shows, a pressure to not lessen the raw impact of the songs by finally putting them in a studio setting, and most importantly, to make a debut album we could be proud of.
We had the vision set, and we knew we wanted to do it right. And we believe we have.
Produced by Andreas Linnemann and mixed/mastered by Josh Middleton, Within The Viscera is our strongest material, and we hope the joy we had creating it shines through.

Within The Viscera is a violent maelstrom of youthful death metal that captures the energy of the band’s explosive live shows. It combines the undeniable influence of classic Scandinavian death metal with the white-knuckle intensity and crushing grooves of modern hardcore. Swirling, intricate leads clash with bone-shattering breakdowns, furious double kicks, and throat-shredding vocals to create nine tracks of no-nonsense metal. This album is set to propel NECKBREAKKER out of the underground and onto the global metal stage.
On the latest single ‘Face Splitting Madness’, the band comment: “We are honoured to release out third and final single from our upcoming debut album Within The Viscera. We feel the song encapsulates our vision for the brutality and themes set for the final album. We are proud of every step in the process of making this product come to a reality.”
