Australian progressive metal masters ALARUM are back with their long-awaited new album ‘RECONTINUE’ out November 8.
The band will also set out on tour next week with death metal legends Pestilence and Abramelin to celebrate the release and reconfirm why they are one the best heavy acts in the country!
The Everblack Podcast caught up with Alarum frontman and bass player Mark Palfreyman to talk about ‘recontinue’, its musical twists, turns and lyrical concepts, upcoming tour with Pestilence and Abramelin and more.
Watch/listen to the interview here:
‘Recontinue’ delves into the theme of regeneration: growth from what’s seemingly dead or damaged, resilience to adversity, and finding strength in hard times. Lyrically, ‘Recontinue’ explores questions and concepts on humanity’s self-destructive behaviour towards ourselves, our social connections, and our planet. It’s a call to arms for all people to RECONTINUE: find better ways to connect, resolve and prosper – while accepting the inevitable ups and downs of the human experience.
‘Recontinue’ packages this in 11 new tracks – weaving in and out of heavy & soft, dark & light, in-time & off-time, lyric & instrumental metal music that ALARUM is well known for.
