Coheed And Cambria: Zach Cooper talks Monolith Tour, New Music and Opening for Primus

This week Monolith makes its triumphant return, bringing an unbeatable curation of international names such as Periphery, Leprous, Novelists, and our very own Silver Fang to venues around the country.

Headlined by New York prog rock icons Coheed And Cambria on their first Australian tour since 2016, Monolith 2024 comes out the gate swinging.

An unbeatable live act, Coheed and Cambria are making their long overdue return with a special Neverender set performing their critically acclaimed album ‘Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through Madness’ in its entirety.

Widely regarded as one of their most impactful records, ‘Good Apollo, Volume One’ has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, showcasing their signature conceptual brilliance and musicality.

Along with the Monolith headline set, fans will be treated to a unique Q&A panel: Celebrating 20 Years Of The Amory Wars: The Past, Present And Future with Claudio Sanchez. The panel will delve into the band’s series of graphic novels and comics, providing a deeper understanding of the intricate world that Coheed and Cambria have created

The Everblack Podcast sat down with COHEED AND CAMBRIA bass player Zach Cooper to talk about the upcoming Monolith Tour with Periphery, Leprous, Novelists, and Silver Fang, the singles they released this year and plans for the next album, opening for Primus and more!

For the Adelaide show only, Coheed And Cambria will be joined by Washington D.C.’s Periphery. As another band who have been long overdue for an Australian tour, Periphery are one of the most respected leading names in modern progressive metal. Bringing their latest album, ‘Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre’, to Australia, the Grammy-nominated outfit are set to remind audiences here of their continued impact.

Completing the bill in both Adelaide and Hobart will be Canadian instrumentalists Intervals, bringing their expansive melodies and sonic structures to the fold. Having established themselves as a formidable force within the djent and prog metal scene, the Toronto group fast became a favourite following on from the release of their debut album, ‘A Voice Within’  in 2014.
