Renowned Australian producer Jack Nigro unveils new podcast, Make Your Own Noise

Renowned Australian producer, engineer and studio owner Jack Nigro has just unveiled his latest creative project; a podcast called Make Your Own Noise. The podcast is aimed to empower creatives to find their voice, both within their industry and within themselves.

Like in any space, there are many challenges one faces when working in the creative fields. Knowing where and how to start your career, striving to master your art whilst learning to run a business, work/life balance and navigating the internal challenges of working for yourself; these are but a few of the many concerns commonly encountered by creatives in their day-to-day, and just some of the many topics which Jack will endeavour to cover on this journey.

“This is something very close to me that I have wanted to do for a long time. I have been blessed with so many great discussions with my professional peers over the years about how to work for yourself, creating and perfecting your art and the many challenges and vulnerabilities we all face, mostly working for ourselves in the creative industries.”  JACK NIGRO

Jack, known for his work with names like The Amity Affliction, DMA’s, Skegss, Middle Kids, Pacific Avenue, The Terrys and countless others, will draw upon over a decade’s experience of building a successful business, managing and owning recording studios and producing/engineering many of Australia’s most renowned artists and bands, to help guide and support the next wave of creative professionals entering their respective industries.

Make Your Own Noise will include both short-form pod episodes, as well as other more extended and in-depth discussions on particular topics, and will at time feature special guest appearances from other creatives at the top of their respective fields. On the genesis of this passion project, Jack expressed:

“I have noticed in recent years that I am fortunate enough to be in a position where junior people have reached out to me asking for advice and the more common this became, the more I saw the same themes and questions arise. So I decided to make this podcast. Self-development is a huge part of my life outside of the studio and I have seen the benefits it has had on my life and professional career too. My intention for this show is to build a supportive and aspiring community to help encourage everyone to work towards their dream career and life. To empower creatives to find their voice”  JACK NIGRO

The first episode of Make Your Own Noise, which features Jack delving into the topic of Imposter Syndrome within the music industry and other creative fields, is out now, and will be followed by new episodes every two weeks.

The first episode of MAKE YOUR OWN NOISE is out Wednesday October 9th
