ATLVS RELEASE ‘SHADOW DANCER’ AND KICK OFF AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Gunaikurnai/Gippsland-based metalcore quartet ATLVS have just unveiled their ferocious single ‘Shadow Dancer‘ – produced by Damien Bigara (Diesect), and mixed/mastered by Michael Campbell (She Cries Wolf, Diamond Construct, Deficit). The track is accompanied with the frenetically lit up music video – shot and directed by Matthew Brida at Stupid Old Studios in Naarm/MelbourneOpening with a thought-provoking rhythmic composition amid ominous diminished chords, ‘Shadow Dancer’ precipitates into a wall of sinister noise, simultaneously navigating a series of unexpected twists and turns. The new offering showcases the deft complexities of ATLVS’ ability to inhabit songs and make them breathe; all while concurrently creating a cacophony of chaos.

The band details the deep meaning and narrative behind ‘Shadow Dancer’:

“This song is about the phenomenon of two kindred souls meeting in this life and the circumstances did not let them be together. Even though they both know deep down that their souls were meant to be together somehow, and therefore yearn for that for the rest of their lives. ‘They danced through the shadows but never took the chance’. Now they are ‘Just a pair of bleeding hearts’ who have to learn how to deal with these feelings for the rest of their lives.”

To coincide with the release, the band will traverse the country performing five headline shows, as well as supporting Surfacing and recently opened for We Came As Romans (USA). This comes off the back of a relentless live schedule over the past two years, with an impressive five headlining tours under their belt. They’ve also shared stages with the likes of Erra, Invent Animate, Windwaker, Gravemind, Ocean Sleeper, Mirrors, Belle Haven, Bloom, Dream on Dreamer, Pridelands, Earth Caller and Tapestry.

Previous releases have been strongly supported by the likes of triple j, triple j Unearthed, Spotify, Apple Music, New Noise Magazine (USA), Beat Magazine, The AU Review, Hysteria Magazine, Wall of Sound, Kill Your Stereo, HEAVY Mag, Metal Roos, Everblack Media, The Soundcheck, The Rock Pit and many others.

The group will also follow up this current release with a mini-EP of the same name, which will feature two additional tracks ‘Virus‘ and ‘Forked Tongue‘ on October 25.
