Lookout Festival is a premier live music series that brings together the best in alternative rock. It’s a chance to witness timeless tracks and fresh sounds from some of Australia’s most influential bands in a dynamic, high-energy atmosphere. Whether you’re there to soak in the powerful performances or share the thrill with your mates, Lookout is where rock music comes to life.

Jet, hailing from Melbourne, exploded onto the international scene after forming in 2001. Their debut album Get Born went multi-platinum, thanks to hits like “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Look What You’ve Done.” With over 6.5 million albums sold globally, Jet’s unforgettable live shows made them festival headliners worldwide. In 2023, they were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, cementing their status as rock icons.

Grinspoon, another cornerstone of Australian rock, boasts a career spanning over 25 years, with over half a million albums sold and 14 ARIA nominations. Their new album whatever, whatever debuted at #3 on the ARIA charts, proving their continued relevance and energy. Known for their explosive live performances, Grinspoon’s influence on the Aussie rock scene remains undeniable.

Alt-pop duo The Veronicas have also been redefining the Australian music landscape since 2005. With multi-platinum certifications, sold-out tours, and a string of anthemic hits, they’ve earned their place as one of the country’s most iconic acts. From their early pop-punk days to their latest #1 album in 2024, The Veronicas continue to shape the musical zeitgeist.

Spiderbait’s journey from their small-town origins to becoming one of Australia’s most beloved indie rock bands is a testament to their resilience and unique sound. With seven albums and multiple ARIA Awards, their blend of alternative rock and quirky influences has earned them a loyal fanbase and an enduring presence in the Australian music scene.

Jebediah, with their infectious energy and catchy hooks, are another staple of Aussie rock. Known for their anthemic tracks like “Leaving Home” and “Teflon,” the band’s blend of humor, raw energy, and pop-rock sensibilities has won them legions of devoted fans.

Magic Dirt, led by the formidable Adalita, are back with renewed vigor after a creative resurgence. Their music has always captured the raw tension between adventure and danger, and they continue to evolve while staying true to their gritty, DIY roots.

Finally, Youth Group, beloved for their indie rock anthems, made a triumphant return in 2019 with Australian Halloween, a collection that received widespread critical acclaim. Their wistful, dynamic sound continues to resonate with fans, proving their lasting impact on the Australian music scene.

Lookout Festival 2025 will be a celebration of these legendary bands, delivering a one-of-a-kind live music experience that fans won’t want to miss. Mark your calendars and get ready for the rock event of the year!
