ORPHEUS OMEGA: Chris Themelco talks ‘Emberglow’, Australian Tour with Cameria and Metal Vocals

Melodic Death metal powerhouse ORPHEUS OMEGA (VIC) and Symphonic Gothic Metal masters CARMERIA (NSW) join forces this November for their ‘Embers Of Tragedy’ Australian tour.

Co-celebrating their acclaimed and recently released albums, ‘Emberglow’ (Wormholedeath Records) and ‘Tragedie D’amour’ respectively, the bands have whipped up an incredible new live show to unleash on crowds across the country. With both bands known for their finely crafted and highly energetic live shows, this tour is a MUST SEE for fans of fantastical melodies and chaotic circle pits.

The Everblack Podcast caught up with Orpheus Omega frontman Chris Themelco to talk about their current ‘Embers Of Tragedy’ Australian tour with mates Carmeria, latest album ‘Emberglow‘, playing Metal To The Max festival at the Mad Max compound, recent Japanese tour with Scar Symmetry, exploring metal vocal techniques and more!

With a career now spanning 5 acclaimed albums 3 EPs and countless tour cycles both domestically and abroad, ORPHEUS OMEGA has cemented themselves as one of THE hardest working and entertaining mainstays of the Australian metal scene. 2024 brings their most ambitious album yet, ‘Emberglow’ released on July 24th through Wormhole Death Records. Emberglow marries the band’s classic melodic death metal roots while taking the largest leaps into uncharted territory including moments of progressive metal, metalcore, doom metal and more.
