311: P-Nut talks Good Things Festival and Full Bloom

The platinum-certified rock band 311 is back with their highly anticipated 14th studio album, Full Bloom as well as making their long-awaited return to Australia this December for the Good Things Festival, sharing the stage with Korn, Sum 41, Violent Femmes, Electric Callboy, and many more!

With more than 10 million records sold in just the United States alone, the group has never been hotter. Having just wrapped a successful headlining US run of their ‘Unity Tour,’ one of the most successful tours of the band’s 34 year history,  the group is known to emphasise the importance of community through the lens of communication and connection.

Full Bloom marks their first full-length project in five years, following Voyager in 2019. The album’s lead single, “You’re Gonna Get It,” has become their highest-charting song in 13 years, breaking into the top 15 at Alternative Radio. This introspective track, which explores the idea that all actions have consequences, even if they aren’t immediately apparent, has garnered over 1.3 million streams.

The Everblack Podcast caught up with Aaron “P-Nut” Wills from 311 to discuss their highly anticipated return to Australia for the Good Things Festival tour, their latest album Full Bloom, and his cherished memories of touring Australia during the Vans Warped Tour in 1998. They also delved into the whirlwind success of the hit single “Down” and more!

The band is enjoying a renaissance, This year, they sold out the biannual 311 cruise in under 24 hours for a March 2025 sailing. The 30th-anniversary reissue of their 1994 album Grassroots saw a staggering 40,000% increase in sales, reentering Billboard’s best-selling albums at #34 and the vinyl charting at #11. They also toured Japan for the first time in a decade and completed a major European tour—marking their return to the region after 20 years. Upcoming appearances include the Good Things Festival in Australia and the Everblast Festival in Jakarta.

Music has always been a unifying force for 311, reminding us that we are never truly alone. They believe that communication—whether with friends, family, or strangers—can bridge gaps and heal wounds. Founded in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska, the band consists of Nick Hexum, Chad Sexton, Tim Mahoney, SA Martinez, and P-Nut.

311 blends rock, rap, reggae, and funk into a unique sound, and after 33 years, they remain one of the most dynamic live acts in the U.S., having released thirteen studio albums and sold over 9 million records.
