Sydney melodic hardcore outfit Bloom follow up their defining latest album ‘Maybe In Another Life‘ with fresh new single, The Works Of You, out now via Greyscale Records & Pure Noise.
Bloom take their place at the forefront of Australian alternative with the latest addition to their repertoire. Leaning into unique territory with driving triumph, aggressive undertones, and carefully contrasted light and dark moments, The Works Of You is a love song, about love that lingers long after a person has left your life. “The Works Of You explores how love can come to shape you,” explains the band. Bloom likens love to art, “how it can come in many shapes and forms, its distinct staying power, and how hearts can become galleries themselves.”
Working with long time producer Christopher Vernon, Bloom have written a song that captures best what they have built a reputation for, further honing in on a sound crafted by impassioned lyricism and fierce instrumentation with emotional heft.
Bloom are currently midway through their very first North America tour supporting metalcore monsters Miss May I and In Hearts Wake, debuting their music to fans old and new across the ocean throughout October. The quintet will conquer UK & Europe early next year, where they’ll support Silverstein on their 25 Years Of Noise Tour throughout March 2025 alongside Thursday and The Callous Daoboys.
2024 has been a breakout year for Bloom, beginning with a Japanese tour supporting Erra and Knosis followed by the release of their debut album ‘Maybe In Another Life’ via Greyscale Records & Pure Noise in February. Their debut heralded praise from across the globe, with Kerrang! Magazine highlighting: “Bloom are one of the most exciting and promising metalcore bands to emerge from the country’s thriving scene in a minute.” They’ve toured relentlessly across Australia, completing multiple headline tours and national support tours with Bad Omens, Make Them Suffer, Polaris, While She Sleeps, Holding Absence, Thornhill, Void Of Vision and more as well as numerous festival appearances at Good Things Festival, UNIFY Gathering and CVLTFEST.
Bloom signed to Pure Noise Records last year, seeing the band become the second Australian band to join the fold, finding themselves in the company of The Amity Affliction, Counterparts, Knocked Loose and more. Pure Noise partner up with Greyscale Records who have been with Bloom since 2020.
The Works Of You is available and streaming everywhere now via Greyscale Records & Pure Noise Records.
