Encapsulating melodic, heavy and emotive grittiness, Brisbane’s renowned alt-metal trio KRAVE are turning heads after raising the bar with their recent delivery of metal-ballad ‘Charade’. With their longly anticipated ‘Only Human’ EP [Out Friday October 18, 2024], KRAVE return to elevate the stakes as they showcase a heavier side for explosive sequel track and video ‘Unalive’.
Delving into emotional, mental and addiction disorders, ‘Unalive’ confronts the dark side of maladaptive coping. Before long, the plot fixates on an eerie reality that sees our demons habitually rotating the dangerous vices that keep us sick.
“While writing this song, I experienced a ‘coming full circle’ moment. It was when I realised my addictions were so addictive, that I was addicted to being the ‘addict’, and that each layer of insanity all met up at the same grave spot if ignored. That’s ‘Unalive’ for you. Erupting riffs and seething rage is what you can expect from this heavy song, it is truly the best kind of smack in the face a listener can ask for.” Says Siana Davis [Writer, Lead Singer + Bassist].
The video for ‘Unalive’ is dosed with a sense of the macabre. Abandoned mental patients, deranged doctors and ballistic butchers are just but a few characters you’ll meet during this witch hunt. Entirely gruesome yet somewhat comical, ‘Unalive’ leaves the viewers infatuated with the horror and disturbance that haunts their watch process.
Having toured as main support for Suicidal Tendencies, Amaranthe and Avatar, KRAVE prove themselves as a worthy newcomer. With an Australian Headline Tour ahead of them, KRAVE are ecstatic to bring ‘Unalive’ to their biggest venues yet across QLD and NSW major cities [dates below].
