Following the #1 ARIA Chart debut for new album ‘Sunday Sadness’, Amy Shark, one of Australia’s premier pop successes and 8 x ARIA Award winner, has announced support artists Culture Wars (USA) for the Australian shows, and NZ’s Coast Arcade for the Auckland show, with openers HUTCH and Fool Nelson (Perth only) on The Sadness Tour.
Beginning in Auckland on October 12, The Sadness Tour will see Shark headline shows across Australia and New Zealand throughout October and November.

Supporting Shark on all the Australian shows are emerging Austin alternative rockers Culture Wars, who are rapidly taking over Australian airwaves. Their sound blends the most vital rock and alternative music elements and they’ve built a following through energetic live performances.
Songs from their 2021 EP “teche” like ‘Faith’ and ‘Lose Money’ blew up on streaming services, contributing to the group’s widening audience. ‘Leave Me Alone’ featured on the GRAMMY-nominated Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack, becoming Culture Wars’ first Top 30 Alternative Rock hit.
Over the coming months the band will be touring in Canada with The Cult, and across Asia with Lany, before making their way to our shores to support Amy.
Coast Arcade have been making serious waves across Aotearoa with their infectious energy and authentic pop-rock sound since bursting onto the scene in 2021. They will support Shark on the Auckland show, having already rocked stages with big names like Bootleg Rascal, Teenage Dads, The Beths, and Princess Chelsea, and even toured New Zealand with Aussie legends, The Terry’s.
Opening on all Australian shows except Perth, is Gold Coast singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Chris Hutchison, a.k.a. HUTCH, who embodies an inspired intertwining of country grit and laid-back, coastal charm.
Perth will be treated to an opening set by three-piece indie rock band Fool Nelson. With a 90s and early 2000’s influenced grungy rock sound, they recently released their new EP ‘Falling Apart’.
The Sadness Tour will be Amy Shark’s first headline tour since her massive 60-date run across Regional Australia in 2022, and her first Australian capital city headline shows since 2021’s Cry Forever Tour. Shark will begin The Sadness Tour in Auckland on Saturday 12 October before heading to Melbourne, Hobart, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, then wrapping up in Perth on November 2.
In what promises to be a memorable tour, Amy Shark will present her critically acclaimed, ARIA #1 album ‘Sunday Sadness’ in some of Australia & New Zealand’s most beloved venues, as well as special open-air shows, under the stars in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
