Brisbane band Burn Your Name are thrilled to announce their debut EP Greyout set for release on Friday August 23rd.
To celebrate the release, Burn Your Name are also dropping an impressive new music video ‘Slide’ on August 16, 2024, shot and directed by Alex Nelson of Emerge Creative and vocalist of Awake In Time.
Blurring the lines between the worlds of metalcore, electronica and nu-metal, Burn Your Name’s sound pays a proud homage to prestigious acts like Linkin Park and Northlane. With a huge 6 piece lineup (including an in-house DJ), the group have worked studiously to carve their signature digital sound despite challenges and setbacks.
Greyout is a summary of that journey, delving deep into dark and emotive subject matter while holding on to an aggressive and modern metal sound. Vocalist Anton Marentes spoke on the journey:
“With Greyout, we really wanted build on the theme of loss of vision and perception. Since a large portion of our time as a band was spent during the Covid-19 pandemic, battling with being isolated from each other and reality, it was very fitting with how we felt living in today’s unstable society”
