Ocean Grove Announce My Disaster Tour 2024 With Special Guests Paledusk (JPN) & Inertia

Today, Oddworld mavericks OCEAN GROVE announce a huge headline tour in support of their scorchering new single, MY DISASTER in October with special guests PALEDUSK (JPN) and INERTIA.

Kicking off in Brisbane on Friday 4 October at The Triffid, the tour will then head to Sydney at Manning Bar on Saturday 5 October before wrapping up on Sunday 6 October at the Prince Bandroom in Melbourne.

“Our last major headline shows in these cities were back in 2022, so you can imagine there’s plenty new to share with our fans. We’re bringing our very first international support out for this tour, our brothers in Paledusk (JPN), as well as Sydney mates in Inertia. We’ve also never played Licensed All Ages headline shows of our own in Brisbane or Melbourne, so it feels like a massive opportunity for our U18 fan base to catch their very first OG show. All in all, we’re super pumped to exhibit all this new music we have coming out and to bring a bit of the back catalogue into the mix, too.” Ocean Grove

Following on from OCEAN GROVE‘s earlier 2024 single FLY AWAYMY DISASTER sways between guttural nu metal bounce and down-tuned melodic melancholia, dovetailing the rollercoaster of the human experience with the trademark riotous and riveting OCEAN GROVE charm searing at every sonic twist and turn. An electrifying force in the realms of heavy music, OCEAN GROVE fuse nu metal, hardcore and alternative rock into a sound like no other; a sound that is entirely and wholeheartedly Oddworld Music.

From their 2017 debut album The Rhapsody Tapes, which debuted at #5 on the ARIA Charts, through to their sophomore 2020 release Flip Phone Fantasy and 2022’s Up In The Air Forever, both also landing in the ARIA Charts top 10, OCEAN GROVE have cultivated resounding acclaim for their groundbreaking craftsmanship and fearless experimentation, as well as their unwavering connection to their legion of fans.

Brandishing influences that span Korn, N.E.R.D., and Faith No More, Ocean Grove have never been ones afraid to think outside the box, with their unforgettable creations finding them in hot demand with tours alongside Limp Bizkit, August Burns Red, Crossfaith, and Don Broco, and appearances at the likes of Download Festival Australia, Good Things Festival and UNIFY Gathering. OCEAN GROVE recently supported Polaris on a massive regional Australian tour and will be performing at the upcoming Big Pineapple Festival in Woombye, Queensland.

Hailing from Fukuoka on the Japanese island of Kyushu, PALEDUSK stormed onto everyone’s radar early in 2020 with the four track EP Happy Talk, which combined elements of metalcore, industrial, nu-metal, and EDM in a way that hasn’t been seen in a long time. No strangers to Australian shores, PALEDUSK have developed strong ties to the Australian heavy music scene including performing at Good Things Festival in 2022 and supported fellow label mates Alpha Wolf earlier this year. PALEDUSK have garnished themselves both a sound and style that is truly unique. While Happy Talk is still fresh in their fan’s hearts, the band says new music is coming sooner than you think.

Built from the foundations of dark pop dripping with soul and intensity contrasting with explosive, driving riffs, Sydney’s INERTIA have proven they’re a force to be reckoned with. Their newly released album, Second Shadow, showcases their evolved style which fills a gap in the heavy scene, mixing pop sensibilities with hard-hitting compositions. Having shared the stage with some of the most prominent alternative acts both Australian and international such as Polaris, Void of Vision, Thornhill, Holding Absence, Ocean Grove, Dream On Dreamer, Story of the Year (US).
