Northern California deathcore beasts SALTWOUND have officially joined SharpTone Records! The band joins forces with one of the most influential tastemakers in modern metal and joins a crew of acts that include Better Lovers, Bleeding Through, Comback Kid, Loathe, Of Mice & Men and Stick To Your Guns to name a few.
Following a slew of EP releases and massive worldwide underground support from fans, SALTWOUND returns with a bold and brutal new single titled Hollow.
Commenting on the song, vocalist Spencer Timmons says: “Compositionally speaking, ‘Hollow’ is a track that seamlessly incorporates both the driving grooves and crushing breakdowns that Saltwound is known for. The lyrics of the song speak to the emptiness and vapid nature of people that would rather capitalize off of others success than put in the work themselves to create something, as well as how those people seek to co-opt an identity that is not true to what they are.”
The single marks SALTWOUND’s first release with SharpTone Records as they embark on their next musical expedition with simmering plans for their debut full-length album.

The Sacramento, CA band—Spencer Timmons [vocals], Shawn Williams [guitar], and Marty Delgado [bass]—deftly tame a chaotic hybrid of deathcore and metalcore with earthquaking grooves and insidious melodies, proudly dubbed “NORCAL VIOLENCE.”
During 2020, the band introduced their inimitable intensity to the masses with Vol. 1: (DEAD)WEIGHT EP. The title track “(DEAD)WEIGHT” amassed over 1.6 million Spotify streams followed by “Assault // Split Lip” with 516K Spotify streams. The momentum only picked up with VOL. 2: DESPAIR [2022] and In the Shadow of the Valley of Death [2023]. Along the way, they shared the stage with everyone from Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and Islander to Bleeding Through, Ov Sulfur, Attila, Gideon, and Impending Doom.
