Japanese instrumental rock band MONO recently released their 12th album “OATH” via Pelagic Records, in celebration of the band’s 25th anniversary.

Watch/listen to the interview here:
The new album “OATH” was recorded and mixed by one of the band’s most important longtime partners, Steve Albini. Guitarist and composer of the band, Taka, comments:
“We are proud to release our new album “OATH”. This album is the last original album with our beloved partner Steve Albini, with whom we have worked together for 22 years. A huge thank you to everyone who supports us.”
In late 2024, MONO will also return to touring with a special setup to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary. The anniversary tour will be like no other and will consist of strings and brass worldwide. While the band has had many orchestral shows in the past, the entirety of the tour consisting of an orchestra or an ensemble is a concept that has never been done before.
