THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA’s Jeremy DePoyster talks tour with Alpha Wolf and new music

In less than 2 months, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA will be hitting the road with Australian behemoths ALPHA WOLF for their huge Half Living Things Australian Headline Tour with Texan metalcore trailblazers INVENT ANIMATE and Swedish modern heavy wielders THROWN.

The Everblack Podcast caught up with Jeremy DePoyster from The Devil Wears Prada to talk about their long awaited return down under with Alpha Wolf, Invent Animate and thrown, their plans to record new music, the possibility of a country side project on the horizon and more.

The band recently dropped the video for their latest single Ritual. It finds the band further experimenting with and pushing the boundaries of their signature sound.

The song was co-produced by Grammy nominated Tyler Smyth (I Prevail, Falling in Reverse) and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Blink 182).

“With Ritual, we are kicking off the new era of The Devil Wears Prada with a bang. Color Decay saw us diving into the emotional struggles so many of our generation are going through, so we wanted to write a song that amped up the energy level,” the band explains. “Lyrically, Ritual is about the mundane experiences of life, surrendering to the monotony rather than going against it.”

TDWP continue to smash boundaries and expectations. They are truly operating in the height of their career, having moved over 75,000 tickets on the Metalcore Dropouts tour, during which they’ve been playing material almost exclusively new material from 2022’s Color Decay. Rather than focus on their deep (and much-loved) catalog, the band is leaving fans even hungrier for even more new songs.

Forming in 2005, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA have gone on to become a towering fixture in the metalcore scene, armed with their balanced blend of turbulence, eloquent lyricism and melodic sorcery. From securing six consecutive Top 5 debuts on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chat through to extensive tours across the globe, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA most recently showcased their prowess via their 2022 album Color Decay. In 2024, the band will return to Australia in following supporting Polaris on a national sold out tour in 2017, and also marking the band’s first tour down under since releasing The Act in 2019 and Color Decay.
