The legendary Infectious Grooves will be touring Australia at the end of March! The funk-metal supergroup will be appearing at Byron Bay Bluesfest as well as headlining their own massive headline shows in Melbourne Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney!
Joining Infectious Grooves on all shows are French rock-blues duo, The Inspector Cluzo.
The Inspector Cluzo deliver a full throttle explosion of soulful, funk-influenced classic rock intensity and manage to do so without a bass player! Their highly energetic live show is renowned the world over and they have been personally selected by Infectious Grooves to join them on their upcoming Australian tour.
Formed in the Gascony region of France in 2007 when their bassist never showed up for practice and therefore continuing with just guitar and drums, Inspector Cluzo have retained a fully DIY attitude in every aspect. Handling their own management, booking, label and promotion since inception, even amidst their massively and steadily growing fanbase over the years.
Plus to make the Infectious Grooves tour even bigger, we can reveal that Jay Weinberg has been announced as the new drummer for Suicidal Tendencies!
Jay says, “When I think of the culture and community of heavy music that I’ve loved and considered my creative home for 20 years, I think of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES: a foundational pillar and source of inspiration ever since I fell in love with punk, metal, and hardcore. Having toured and played shows together all over the world, I’ve been so fortunate to become friends with my musical heroes who have been a part of this band’s incredible history. See you all in the pit!”
To celebrate, IG have announced a tour exclusive Suicidal Tendencies 6 Pack set as part of the upcoming Australian dates, where fans will be the first to see Jay hit the skins in ST mode – joined on stage by 2 current and former Suicidal Tendencies bassists – none other than
Tye Trujillo, performing iconic ST anthems alongside his Dad, Robert.
Adding extra groove on guitar will be Dave Kushner, best known for being part of the platinum selling supergroup Velvet Revolver. Dave is also part of the OG Infectious Grooves team having appeared on the track, Punk It Up from the bands debut album.
Anchoring the whole thing down is drummer Jay Weinberg, making his first live appearance after 10 years with the iconic metal band, Slipknot.
Infectious Grooves and Suicidal Tendencies on the same stage…
