(Interview Jack Price)
From adorning countless Myspace pages in the early 2000s to proving that pop punk is alive and well decades later, beloved Budgewoi rockers Short Stack are back with a new single, tour and slot at the upcoming Good Things Festival!
The Everblack Podcast caught up with Bradie from Aussie legends Short Stack, talking Good Things, life on tour, changes in the music industry and more!
Watch/listen to the interview here:
Since first forming in the early 2000s, Short Stack have amassed a dizzying array of accolades, including being dubbed Channel V Oz Artist of the Year twice (in 2008 and 2010), scoring Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Fave Aussie Band in 2010, and plenty of gold and platinum-selling singles along the way.
Following a break-up in 2012, a brief formation and second break-up in 2014 and 2015 respectively, a jubilant Short Stack reunion in 2020 ultimately led to the band’s 2022 studio album Maybe There’s No Heaven. Amalgamating the trio’s colourful decade-long career with a renewed creative lease on life, Short Stack truly soared to sensational heights on their latest album, blending hooky bangers, sharp execution and searing authenticity into an 11 track masterpiece – and all entirely on their own terms.
With a sold-out capital city comeback tour in 2022 under their belts, Short Stack are also now primed to embark on a regional Australian tour for the first time in over a decade. With more polish and power than ever before, the band will work their way around the country this October and November with special guests Hevenshe and The Beautiful Monument.
