Australian melodic tech-death metal band SNAKE MOUNTAIN will release their long-awaited new single ‘Veins’ on January 27th.
The song was recorded by Snake Mountain at their own studio and mixed and mastered by Dan Field at Sledgehammer Studios in Brisbane who has worked with heavy acts such as Apate and Babirusa.
‘Veins’ is the first new music from the band since 2019’s ’The Hunted’ and a demonstration of the groups new heavier musical direction and lyrically inspired by one of the greatest characters in comic history and an exploration into the psychological damage of his origins.
‘Veins is about trauma and dealing with it in a very violent way. A man who obsessively lives in a cycle of trying to make a difference to prevent it happening to anyone else and has infinite resources to do so, but it’s a never ending war he essentially can’t win within himself and that’s something that’s always drawn me to the character and his story.’ Says vocalist Nev Pearce.
The video was masterfully filmed by Gold Coast filmmakers Kyle Watson and Rianna Griggs from FortyTwoFifteen Video Productions and premiered on the HEAVY Magazine website.
